AVP Volleyball
The Association of Volleyball Professionals, or AVP, is a beach volleyball tournament that hosts the best players in the U.S. Its summer tour starts in April and continues almost every weekend until the end of September. The winter tour starts in January and hosts tournaments Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays until the end of February.
Atlanta hosted the 2009 AVP Crocs Tour Atlanta Open in Atlantic Station. Olympic gold medalists Phil Dalhausser and Todd Rogers were upset in a three-game final by John Hyden and Sean Scott in the championship match. Please check back later for details about the 2010 games in Atlanta.
