Atlanta Centennial Olympic Park
What had been a bleak, run down section of downtown is now Atlanta's Centennial Olympic Park and boasts an estimated 3 million visitors each year. Atlanta Centennial Park is the remaining legacy of the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games. The 21-acre park was build to celebrate the Olympics visit to Georgia as well as revitalize an area of town that had long been forgotten.
Atlanta's Centennial Olympic Park features family fun and live music many days out of the week. Music at Noon presents local bands performing mid-day and Wednesday Wind Down features jazz during rush hour. Fourth Saturday Family Fun Day is free and features performers and children's activities. The Fountain of Rings Show displays a dancing water show harmonized with pop music, lights and sound effects. Please check the Web site for dates and times.
